Bio
Jonathan Thomas is a Tampa Bay native with a background in athletic training, personal training, and Chinese martial arts. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of Tampa, where he worked in sports medicine and rehabilitation settings while supporting collegiate athletes.
For the past ten years, Jonathan has studied Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Sanda, and related martial arts while continuing his education through both traditional and combat-based Chinese martial arts training. He currently trains in Chinese martial arts and performs with the Mt. Song lion dance team.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked with students and clients of all ages, from young children to older adults. His teaching experience includes Taiji, kids martial arts and acrobatics programs, boxing, kickboxing, personal training, and group fitness instruction throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Jonathan combines his knowledge of movement, rehabilitation, fitness, and martial arts to help students improve balance, strength, confidence, and overall well-being. He is proud to be part of Studio Taiji and to share the lifelong benefits of Chinese martial arts.
