About

Courtney is a Qigong instructor and trauma-sensitive somatic coach with a long-standing background in martial arts and movement. Her work bridges internal martial practices and somatic awareness to support health, recovery, and embodied strength.

She practiced Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan for 12 years, earning her 2nd dan, which provided a strong foundation in discipline, structure, and physical conditioning. While her early training emphasized form and rigor, it later informed her interest in internal cultivation, tissue health, and sustainable movement that supports long-term wellbeing.

Courtney’s Qigong classes integrate both soft and hard practices, including Immortal Form, Animal Qigong, and Shaolin-based methods. Her teaching emphasizes internal flow, fascia and connective tissue health, whole-body connection, and the ability to move with strength and efficiency without unnecessary tension. Classes are designed to complement Tai Chi, Qigong, and Kung Fu training while also supporting longevity and daily functional movement.

As a trauma-sensitive somatic coach, Courtney supports individuals in re-establishing a clear, embodied connection with their bodies. Her classes are guided with nervous-system awareness, emphasizing regulation, recovery, and sustainable embodiment rather than force or strain.

In her one-on-one work, Courtney helps clients identify and gently rewire belief systems, stress patterns, and habitual responses that perpetuate disease, inflammation, and chronic pain. This work supports the restoration of internal trust and creates conditions for healing by reconnecting people with the wisdom and signals of their own bodies.

Her classes often include gentle joint opening, breathwork, and self-massage to release stagnation and support recovery, especially for bodies engaged in regular training. Each class closes with stillness, allowing time for integration and nervous system settling.

Courtney’s intention is to help students cultivate greater internal awareness, resilience, and ease so their practice supports not only martial training, but health and daily life as well.
