Our Mission

Studio Taiji's mission is to provide a space for collaboration towards cultivation. We do this by bringing together experienced practitioners that have developed their own high level of skill with students that are honestly seeking practices that can help them cultivate themselves to a higher level.

What is Taiji?

Taiji (aka Tai Chi) Taiji is born from Wuji (the state of undifferentiated and limitless potential), and it is the mother of Yin and Yang. It is most often associated with the practice of Taijiquan. The 'quan' means Boxing/Fist/Method. Taijiquan is a martial arts practice method of cultivating the highest version of yourself.

Studio Taiji is a space for us to gather together as a community to practice Taijiquan together. Come Join us!

The Path

There are many paths one can walk to cultivate. Some choose Yoga, others Meditation, and for us we use Taijiquan. The practice of Taijiquan for most will begin as a martial art since that is its first and foremost purpose. That means specific focus on Opening up the body, correcting Posture, Breath Work (Qi Gong), Stances, Stepping, and Form work, along with Weapons and Push Hands training.

This forms the foundation needed to go on to further training in subtle aspects of energy and meditation.
